I remember that. At the time, I thought that the original had been given the "Anita Kerr" treatment. Putting the white bread chorus on otherwise decent tunes brought the element of suckage and homogenization to music everywhere. Or maybe I just connect the original to an actual good memory. ..No, now that I think about it, homogenization is always bad. We'd all have been better off without Pat Boone and his ilk.

Oh yes Classical Gas, know the song well.

Now about this song, Grazing in the Grass, a tune with the same title was done back in 1969 by "The Friends of Distinction". That song had lyrics and no cowbell but reached #3 on the charts that year.

There used to be a dairy farm down the street from where I'm sitting and going past it in the summer would put this song into my head. Of course, when I think of that time in general, this isn't the instrumental that comes to mind. This is- www.themadmusicarchive.com/song_details.aspx?SongID=2673

Because there's no such thing as too much cowbell.
