Best song he has done is years.

| Things are finally looking up for the new album, the last 2 singles were... okay, this re-assures me that album 13 will be great. This song is so catchy, and it's the first time I've ever seen Al do something more serious then funny, and I love it. It's sort of a goofy serious song, I think it's either a style parody of JoCo or Fountains of Wayne, and I love both! | - oddaustin |

I like the song "Skipper Dan." It has a familar story, comparable to the line in the Billy Joel song "Piano Man" in which he sings of "John at the bar" who "could be a movie star..."
After watching the video, I could easily imagine this song being expanded into a feature length movie, either a lite drama or a chick flick, following the lives of aspiring actors who have to do other jobs while trying to hit the big time. Perhaps Zac Efron or Zac Braff could star. Or?

Not yet....I took the stream from the video, sharpened it up a bit in Amadeus' infinite-band equilizer, then re-saved it in 320/44/S MP3 so there would be no further degredation.
