Audacity has been doing something of late that is extremely annoying, and presently, extremely harmful.
After I have been working with a group of sound tracks for a while, one or more of the tracks will suddenly stop producing sound. The track clearly shows that the sound is there, but it cannot be played. Silence is produced.
If I do a cut and paste of the entire track onto a new track, the new track will show silence.
If I output the defective track as a wav, I get a silent wav.
Which means, I could spend hours and hours and hours working on a song, only to have to start completely over!!
And with me having the flu, there is no way I can sing right now.
Has anyone else encountered this, and is there a solution?
Yes, I went to the Audacity website, and attempted to register for the forum there. Six hours later, I am STILL awaiting the authentication email. Yes, I have already requested another authentication email be sent. That was two hours ago. Yes, I checked my spam folder. Nothing.
ARGH!!! HELP!!!! |

| Ok, trying to do some research on this. The only thing I've found so far is if you moved the file or renamed it after ripping it from a CD. I will continue to look around. |
