So I was trying to merge duplicate song pages for this show, but one of the pages didn't look right. Its song sample box was larger than usual. I corrected the artist on one of the pages, then tried to merge them. The odd-looking page wouldn't merge or be merged into.

The result was that both pages vanished and now we have a "zombie page" (last identified as 60527) which is blank & can't be accessed. Dan also has a hole in the playlist for this show where the song used to be. Nice going guys. I did ask you to actually search the archive for the songs you use for shows before auto-creating them.

This is another example of what goes wrong with merging when you don't. The merge info was correct, but there was something wrong with the page. Only Wayne would know what that was.

Since the page in questioned was corrupt somehow, this may not be your doing. I sent a message to Wayne, so perhaps he can sort it out.

I eliminated the spam from the page you mentioned. Thanks for pointing it out. I can't catch everything; that's why Dave helps out with these things.

Other song pages in the database have this problem as well. Tuesdays Song Is Not Posted is another and Don't Leave Your Records In the Sun has spam posted to it. This particular song did not pull up in a search... Or at least how it was searched. I know in the past quite a few had to be Google searched to find the songpage instead of using the search feature on here. Technically it was my fault for writing the title wrong on the handwritten playlist since I monitor his group more often than he does which started the chain of events so to speak.

Well at least it's blank and doesn't say"THE FUNKY BUTTS"!

Wayne got back to me on this. He needs to know the song name & artist of the lost page. I'd forgotten. Don't laugh - you'll be 71 someday... If Dan can tell me (or if someone else can remember), Wayne can fix it.

I've seen that strange sample box before during last year's upgrade. It's likely a programming issue left over from then.

I worked around the Funky Butts problem in the last show by adding the 8788 artistID to the segment titles so it wouldn't screw up. Now if only every show would use the "BG' prefix to credit the bgm they use. Do that & help Wayne avoid the lawyers.
