Nope. No one entered. Even stumped the captain. He has yet to send me the CD.
That was The Addams Family theme as played by Lawerence Welk & his orchestra. Not only is the Lawerence Welk orchestra identifiable by the familiar accordian, but was also known for that clarinet sound. I used it as the theme to my college radio show on the student radio station, WRS (pronounced WoRSe at times). We were able to sell advertising, so the Pizzarea spot was real, vocal by Bill Brush. Amazing how many pizzas can be sold when you have advertising reminding them at 9 or 10 at night.
--- peterpuck9 Tim....did anyone ever win that contest with the Addams Family Theme song? What was the answer?.......Pete |

For big bunches of covers, go to Coverville.
www.coverville.com/
Brian does mostly serious covers, with a bit of the whimsical & humorous thrown in occasionally.

I feel like I should add a commentary track to this.
* I wanted to get the show started quickly, with some early cover music humor; we get to Spike Jones at his Spike Jones-e-est right at the start of By The Beautiful Sea. * Onto the 50's, when Stan Freberg was making comment and humor on the pop and new rock & roll of that time. * Mission: Imposible Theme/Norwegian Wood is on Golden Throats 4: Celebrities Butcher Songs of The Beatles. I like this and other songs were the artist is singing words of one song to the tune of another.
* The double set of songs in Segments 3 & 4 came about from first finding a couple of the same tune that I wanted to play. I was soon finding enough for the show that I thought I would turn it into a feature.
